Experimental research continues to confirm the reality of quantum entanglement. In 1949 Chien-Shiung Wu first observed this effect – two photons from a single source that continue polarised at right angles as they move away independently in opposite directions. This first experimental verification of correlation of quanta consistently from a source and continuously at any distance proves the full reality of quantum entanglement. Up to date experimental evidence confirms the concurrence of quantum states as a fundamental physical reality of the universe.

The experiments of John Clauser in the 1970s confirmed the reality of quantum entanglement. Alain Aspect’s experiments in the 1980s demonstrated the immediate correlation of quanta. This has been detected in Beryllium ions, Ytterbium ions, Rubidium atom pairs, whole rubidium atom cloud pairs and nitrogen vacancies in diamonds. Anton Zeilinger’s research in the 1990s and 2000s confirms the immediate concurrence of quanta as fundamental energies functions of the universe.
